Tom Izzo and Michigan State basketball are working hard to piece together a winning roster for the 2024-25 season and that includes hitting the portal hard.

On Tuesday, the Spartans landed Omaha star Frankie Fidler who averaged 20.1 points and 6.3 rebounds a season ago. But he's not only focused on the roster for the upcoming season, he's also shifted his attention to the 2025 recruiting class.

And he wasted no time working on that after landing Fidler.

Shortly after landing Fidler, Izzo took a trip to see five-star big man Niko Bundalo and then on Thursday, he stopped in to meet with four-star small forward Jordan Scott from Reston, Va.

It's clear that he's prepared to "die trying" to get Michigan State basketball back to the top of the sport. He's recruiting at a high level, landing his best recruiting class (arguably) in 2023 with Xavier Booker, Jeremy Fears, Coen Carr, and Gehrig Normand and he followed that up with a top-15 group consisting of Jase Richardson, Kur Teng, and Jesse McCulloch.

Now, he's prioritizing one of the top wings in the 2025 class in Scott who is high on the Spartans, Maryland, and Virginia Tech. It seems like those are the teams in the running for him.

Scott is ranked the No. 55 overall recruit in the class and he's the ninth-best small forward, according to the 247Sports Composite. He stands 6-foot-7 and weighs in at 185 pounds so he has some good length for the wing spot.

Izzo won't sleep until he wins title No. 2.
