Center

Lastly is the position I think everyone is most nervous about. In a perfect world I would love to list a transfer as the starting center and give them the majority of minutes at this position, but I unfortunately don't see that happening.

I think Carson Cooper will be the starter and play a similar number of minutes that he did last season. So give me 15 minutes per game for Cooper.

We likely will see the center spot by committee again, so I think Kohler will get a lot of minutes down low as well. Kohler was limited this past season due to an injury, so I think with a healthy offseason he could be a candidate to have a breakout year. But similarly to Cooper, I'm going to give Kohler 14 minutes down low per game, giving him 16 per game overall.

That leaves 11 minutes per game that I think will be split between two other guys. I think incoming freshman Jesse McCulloch will get two minutes minutes per game and new transfer portal addition Szymon Zapala will get nine.

After going through the entire roster position by position, I weirdly feel a lot better going into next season. I think the team will be better than this past season and will likely fall somwhere in the 5-8 range in the Big Ten standings.
