This isn’t exactly a name we’ve been monitoring a ton over the past couple of months, but there’s a feeling that Michigan State is in good position here. For me, I think the Spartans could probably land guys like Alex Afari (four-star Kentucky commit) or Malcolm Jones (recently decommitted safety from Virginia Tech) in this spot as well.

Jones just decommitted from Virginia Tech so he technically would no longer be a “flip” and all has been quiet on the Afari front for the past few weeks. So that’s why I’m going Mansoor Delane here.

Delane has been committed to Virginia Tech since August but a coaching change, as well as the pursuit from Michigan State, should make him think a little bit.

The Severn, Md., prospect is ranked the No. 620 overall recruit and 57th-best cornerback in the class, according to 247Sports. He holds 18 offers and he has great size at 6-1 and 178 pounds to challenge for playing time early on in Michigan State’s secondary.
