Michigan State football is working hard to flip a handful of recruits for Early Signing Day on Wednesday. Which players could go green?

Mel Tucker has been on a recruiting hot streak lately and not because of the 2022 prospects he’s been landing, but visits he’s securing for Michigan State football as well as the transfers coming in.

Michigan State landed Jalen Berger, Aaron Brule, and Jacoby Windmon in the portal and that will combine with a recruiting class that’s currently top-20 and moving up. There are some big names left on the board with Early Signing Day approaching on Wednesday.

The Spartans haven’t had a top-20 class since 2016 and we all know how that one ended up. Some may argue that it’s the class that broke Mark Dantonio because of all the issues off the field. It had a ton of talent but the players were almost all in trouble off the field although guys like Justin Layne, Naquan Jones, and Joe Bachie have all since made NFL rosters.

Tucker is hoping for better luck from his top-20 class as he’s starting to get his guys buying into the culture in East Lansing. He’s won 10 regular-season games with mostly Dantonio era players and transfers so it’ll be interesting to see what he can do when he gets his guys.

There are some recruits committed elsewhere heading into signing day who could be on the move to East Lansing. Who could Tucker and Co. flip on Wednesday?
