Jalen Nailor, WR, Sophomore (RS)

Jalen Nailor is unique to the Michigan State teams of the past decade and a half in that he’s actually an exciting offensive player to watch. There have been exciting guys like Connor Cook, Jeremy Langford and LJ Scott in recent years, but very few Michigan State players compare to this young receiver.

Nailor was an all-state track star in high school and shows off his speed every time he touches the ball. He received a decent amount of playing time as a freshman, finishing with almost 300 all-purpose yards and a trio of trips to the end zone. His sophomore year would be derailed with injuries, but the wide out would show promise in his little time on the field.

Hopefully new Michigan State offensive coordinator Jay Johnson knows how to utilize Nailor’s talents better than Dave Warner and Brad Salem did, as No. 8 has as much potential as any player on this team. Regardless of whether he’s WR1, he’ll provide a huge spark for the green and white every time he steps out onto the field.
