Antjuan Simmons, LB, Senior

Even though Antjuan Simmons didn’t receive a lot of playing time prior to last season, he’ll be entering this coming year as one of the more experienced guys on this defense and a leader of this team.

Last year, Simmons put up modest numbers, but provided a jolt of energy on the defensive side of the ball. This came to the tune of 3.5 sacks and a one on the stat sheet in the categories of forced fumbles, fumble recoveries and interceptions. With the departure of stars like Kenny Willekes, Joe Bachie, Raquan Williams, and others, you can expect these numbers to skyrocket on a team looking for someone to step up.

At the very least, Simmons will provide leadership to a new-look defense. At the most, he’ll separate himself as the next star linebacker at Michigan State. Regardless, he should be an exciting player to watch and somebody to root for in 2020.
