Michigan State football probably won’t be putting up any new banners in Mel Tuckers first season, but here are some exciting players you can root for in 2020.

If you’re a big Michigan State Football fan, you’ll probably have to wait a few years before you’re happy with the results coming out of East Lansing. With a plethora of coaching changes and an almost entirely new squad on the field, the Spartans will likely struggle for the foreseeable future. That being said, it’s not time to completely give up on your team.

While these Spartans may be hard to watch at times, the program with have a more positive outlook with Tucker in charge. MSU won’t be hoping for another 10-plus win season and end up barely beating Rutgers for bowl eligibility anymore. Mark Dantonio’s last few seasons were comparable to an all-expenses paid vacation in Hawaii — he lowered the limbo bar until this program couldn’t stand on its two feet anymore.

That being said, there are still plenty of players to root for as we move toward this upcoming season. The team may not play well, but if you find specific guys watch, you may be able to squeeze more enjoyment out of this season than you thought possible.

This list will contain guys who will be fun to watch. Some will be leaders of the team and some will be guys who barely see the field, but they’ll all be the reason you tune in every Saturday.
