3. Miles Bridges is resilient

The resiliency of Miles Bridges should not be understated. The sophomore sensation has been under a microscope this season and the lease just zoomed in about 100 times after his mother was linked to $400 in impermissible benefits from an agent’s broker.

Bridges had no idea if that would have caused his immediate ineligibility, but after a thorough internal investigation by the university’s compliance staff, the NCAA cleared him to play moving forward.

Does this mean that nothing more will come out regarding Michigan State and the dark side of college basketball? No one knows, but for now, all Bridges can do is play and block out the noise.

It was tough to do that on Sunday, just two days after being “shocked” that his named was linked to such a report, as Wisconsin fans chanted harsh things throughout Kohl Center such as “cheater” and “FBI” but Bridges kept a level head.

Even with the microscope seemingly draining him mentally, Bridges hit some clutch free throws down the stretch to hold off the Badgers. With the game on the line and fans chanting hurtful, potentially false, accusations at him, Bridges remained tough and resilient.

Although he had a poor game, his free throws lifted MSU.
