Signee: P William Przystup (Preferred walk-on)

In a bit of a surprise, Michigan State also announced Wednesday that Florida punter Will Przystup signed his NLI to play for MSU. The Oviedo product, who received scholarship offers from Air Force and Army, will be looked on to assume punting duties when Jake Hartbarger graduates next year.

As for the return games, several freshman should get opportunities. Walk-ons David Kruse and Jalen Allen are candidates, along with Jalen Nailor, Xavier Henderson, Kalon Gervin, Julian Major and La’Darius Jefferson.

Michigan State has plenty to work with in the placekicking game as Matt Coghlin returns for his sophomore year after putting up solid numbers as a freshman. Last year, the Spartans added a couple of preferred walk-on kickers, but this year, it’s just the punter Przystup.
