3. Windmill, anyone?

OK, now this is just ridiculous.

Richardson, as a rookie with the Golden State Warriors who drafted him No. 5 overall in 2001, steps into the passing lane to snag an errant Los Angeles Lakers pass and takes it all the way to the other side of the court, with no defenders wanting to get in his way, and throws down an unbelievable windmill jam.

The scary thing is that he was just a rookie. This was probably one of the first times he suited up in a Warriors uniform and he just put the rest of the NBA on notice by pulling off an in-game dunk like this one.

Manu Ginobili should have been taking notes after this dunk, thinking to himself, “In the future, I’ll just get out of this guy’s way if he tries to dunk over me,” — we all know how that one worked out (see the No. 5 dunk on this list).

Windmills are not only an energy generator, they were also just another dunk in the endless arsenal that was Jason Richardson’s slam game.

If you watched this video about six or seven times, you’re not alone. Plus, the announcer’s reaction pretty much captured mine perfectly.
