More from Recruiting

Mark Dantonio has become one of the nation’s top recruiters, or so it seems, in recent weeks, seeing his 2016 class grow from just two on April 21, to 13 right now. Expanding by 11 recruits in a four week span is nothing to overlook as Michigan State is becoming an elite program. Michigan State recruiting has taken off like none other in the Big Ten recently.

Guys like Cam Chambers, Messiah deWeaver and Abdul Adams, all commits for the Spartans’ 2016 class, have taken it upon themselves to do some work in the recruiting ranks.

The trio of commits even made a Twitter account to help their recruiting efforts, naming it “@MSUDreamTeam16” and reaching out to some of the nation’s top uncommitted talent. Heck, even some of the nation’s best recruits have reached out to the group and told them that they have MSU in their list of top schools.

Not many people thought this class would take off just as much as it has in recent weeks, but the commitment of deWeaver really got the ball rolling and Chambers has been instrumental as well while the two remain extremely close friends, talking every day.

Dantonio will likely hope for the class to grow to about 22-24 before it’s all said and done and that would leave about 10 spots open for some of the country’s top talent to join the Green & White.

It’s unsure who will be the next to commit, but a handful of top targets, and four-stars, are expected to announce their decisions in early June, leaving MSU to wonder where they stand.

I’m here to take a look and predict who the next five commits to the Green & White will be. Yes, I will try to make the most educated guesses and hope I go five-for-five.
