Michigan State football: Justin Denson reconsidering his commitment?
When it rains, it pours. It’s been pouring all offseason for Michigan State football. Heck, it’s been pouring ever since the Spartans beat Pitt in the Peach Bowl in 2021.
It’s been a while since we’ve gotten a string of good news.
Following the losses of Brandon Jordan (to the NFL) and Marco Coleman (to his alma mater) this offseason, the recruitment of David Stone seemed to be trending in the wrong direction. Those losses eventually led to the loss of Stone who committed to Oklahoma on Saturday night. He admitted that he nearly committed to Miami as well. So that means MSU was third.
But the miss on Stone wasn’t even the most head-scratching development on Saturday. Shortly after Stone announced his Oklahoma commitment, a Michigan State pledge posted some interesting tweets.
Michigan State football commit reconsidering his status?
Justin Denson, a previous Oklahoma target, was posting about how he may need to think things over after watching Stone commit to the Sooners.

It’s disappointing to see that Stone’s commitment to Oklahoma could hurt Michigan State in more ways than one. It could lead to a decommitment from one of the Spartans’ top 2024 commits.
Denson has been committed since July 4 and he picked Michigan State over Oklahoma, Florida, and Alabama and held nearly three dozen offers. He is ranked the No. 634 overall recruit in the country by the 247Sports Composite.
Michigan State fans are now holding their collective breath about the commitment of Denson because it doesn’t feel like he’s 100 percent right now.
