Throughout the years, Michigan State has been known as a "family" and recruits have often boasted about the family atmosphere in East Lansing.

Michigan State football commit Jordan Vann has given a whole new meaning to family atmosphere as he will be joined in East Lansing in 2027 by his younger sibling.

That's right, the 2026 three-star safety commit from Ohio verbally pledged to Michigan State back in June during a red-hot recruiting month for Jonathan Smith, and now his younger sister (a 2027 class women's soccer recruit) will be headed to East Lansing the following year.

Earlier this week, Brooklyn Vann committed to Michigan State women's soccer.

Brooklyn completes the first brother-sister duo within Michigan State athletics in recent memory. The two will look to have major impacts on their respective programs as Jordan will be attempting to turn Michigan State back into a winner and Brooklyn will be looking to continue the success of the women's soccer program which has won two of the last three Big Ten regular season titles.

While the women's soccer team has begun the season 0-0-2 with ties against Colorado and Dayton, the Spartans have been one of the best teams in the Big Ten over the past three years.

Now, Vann will join the roster in 2027, making her a junior this season. She will be headed to East Lansing a year after her older brother who is a member of Jonathan Smith's 2026 recruiting class.

It's pretty cool when "family atmosphere" turns into a family affair.

The Vanns will try to create the golden age of MSU athletics starting in 2026.
