About a month after hosting four-star shooting guard Jasiah Jervis, and weeks after visiting him multiple times, Tom Izzo has made the trek out to Las Vegas to see him again.

The Michigan State head coach has been relentless in his pursuit of the four-star gem from New York, visiting him just a week after he was in East Lansing for an official during Grind Week. He then saw him again, and now this weekend, he’s in Las Vegas to watch him play in The Border League.

According to 247Sports’ Justin Thind, Izzo left East Lansing right after hosting five-star center Ethan Taylor to check out Jervis, five-star small forward Maximo Adams, and 2028 legacy recruit Mateen Cleaves Jr. in Vegas.

The work ethic is second to none.

How many coaches can host a Midnight Madness event on Friday, head over to Mann Field for the Izzone Campout on Friday night, host some big-time recruits in the process, and then immediately fly out to Las Vegas to check in on some top targets in a hoops event? Izzo might be one of one.

At the ripe age of 70, Izzo is traveling the country, hosting massive recruiting events, and gearing up for a huge season as the reigning Big Ten champ. He’s not your normal basketball coach.

Taylor looked like he had a great time during his visit to East Lansing with fellow Michigan State commit and Link Academy teammate Carlos Medlock Jr. If Izzo can add Taylor to a class with Medlock, Jervis (knock on wood), Julius Avent, and Maximo Adams, we might be looking at one of the best recruiting classes of his career, rivaling that 2016 group.

Let’s speak it into existence.
