Tom Izzo and Michigan State basketball have been adding several names to their 2026 recruiting board, and one of the newest targets is already showing serious interest.

Four-star athletic small forward Jalyn Collingwood will be on campus later this fall.

The Spartans have expanded their 2026 recruiting board to create a healthy amount of targets, but it won't matter unless Izzo can get these guys to campus.

Fortunately, he's been doing a great job of securing official visits from his top targets.

Collingwood is just the latest.

Collingwood will be on campus from Oct. 3-5, which will follow a trip to Columbus to check out Ohio State the week prior and then Mississippi State two weeks before that. Following his trip to East Lansing, Collingwood will be at Texas Tech and Vanderbilt to close out his official visit schedule. According to Dushawn London, he may also take trips to Maryland and Butler.

Three Big Ten teams are on his radar, but Michigan State is in a higher tier than the others.

The four-star forward from Washington, D.C., may not be the highest-rated recruit that the Spartans are after, but he's going to be rising in the rankings before it's all said and done. He's currently listed as the No. 150 overall player and No. 49 small forward in the 2026 class, per 247Sports. Collingwood is also the No. 2 prospect from Washington, D.C.

Collingwood has already jumped 21 spots in the 247Sports rankings since July 21.

Izzo is trying to fill out his 2026 recruiting class, and it'd be nice to have that wrapped up before the 2025-26 season begins.

Collingwood may be the perfect diamond in the rough addition.
