The good news just keeps rolling in for Michigan State basketball.
After beating Colgate on Monday to open the 2025-26 season, the reigning Big Ten champs picked up a commitment from four-star, top-35 shooting guard Jasiah Jervis over NC State, Tennessee, Pitt, and Illinois — the Illini dropped off at the end and didn’t even get a hat at the table.
The commitment marked Tom Izzo’s third in the 2026 class, joining Carlos Medlock Jr. and Julius Avent with 1-2 spots still open to fill.
There are a couple of five-stars on the board still for Izzo and the Spartans, and it looks like they might just be on commit watch again, at least according to one of the most plugged-in recruiting insiders in college basketball.

TrillyDonovan might be the most plugged-in college basketball recruiting insider there is, and no one knows his true identity (at least not publicly), but he always seems to be right. He gets the info and shares it on social media in the form of hints as to not ruin announcements.
Following Jervis’ commitment to Michigan State on Wednesday afternoon, Trilly posted the “we ain’t done yet” GIF which hints at more to come for the Spartans.
Are the Spartans on commit watch today? Probably not, but I would assume that the next commitment happens rather soon considering Izzo doesn’t have much room left in his class. My best guess would be that this GIF is hinting at Ethan Taylor being the next to commit to MSU.
It’s either Taylor or Maximo Adams, and the former seems much more likely.
So, Spartan fans, it seems as if Izzo isn’t done yet.
