Updating all 13 Michigan State basketball players' performances at Moneyball
13. Jeremy Fears Jr.
Last but certainly not least is Jeremy Fears Jr. Fears originally was not on a Moneyball roster, likely as a precaution as he's still recovering from his injury. But he has played in two games so far when other Spartans weren’t able to for whatever reason.
And before we dive into his numbers, let’s first just appreciate the fact that he’s even playing in a full-contact game. After the tragic events he went through last December, it’s borderline a miracle that he is playing at 100 percent right now. So regardless of where his basketball career takes him, his success will always be a win.
In the two games Fears has played in, he’s scored 19 and 21 points. His games weren’t the best performances of Moneyball, but all things considered, it is pretty remarkable.
If Fears can continue on the right path health wise, he has a legit chance to be the starting point guard this season. And what an amazing story that would be if it comes true.
