4. Keyshawn Hall, George Mason

Last on the list is Keyshawn Hall from George Mason. This is yet another interesting recruitment, but it didn't last as long as J'Vonne Hadley's nor did it have as many twists and turns to it.

Hall's recruitment began as any transfer's does with teams reaching out to him after he entered the portal. The Spartans were one of those teams who happened to reach out on April 5. This is when things got a little weird.

On April 11, Hall released his top four schools, and Michigan State made the cut along with USC, UCF and Arkansas. Good news, right? Well, it turns out the Spartans had actually stopped recruiting Hall before this announcement. Per Justin Thind from 247Sports, "Michigan State is not involved with Hall's recruitment right now."

So the fact that Hall still included MSU in his top four is very strange, but he clearly won't be someone who will commit to Michigan State as long as the Spartans continue to not be interested. I will add that Thind's wording makes it seem like the Spartans haven't completely ended their interest in Hall, but for the time being he is someone that Michigan State isn't pushing for.
