Tensions are beginning to rise as what feels like every team across the country has earned commitments out of the transfer portal, every team except Michigan State basketball. As frustrating as it is that Tom Izzo hasn't added a transfer to the portal yet, it isn't from a lack of effort.

Izzo has publicly made contact with four transfers in the portal so far. Some of them are still targets for the Spartans while others are no longer in the picture.

Let's recap each transfer's recruitment so far and see if MSU still has a chance in their recruitment.

1. Frankie Fidler, Omaha

Frankie Fidler is the transfer on every Spartan fan's mind, and he just so happens to be the target the Spartans have the best chance of landing. Since the beginning of his recruitment, Michigan State has been in the running. The Spartans were included in Frankie's top four schools and earned a visit along with his other finalists Nebraska, Creighton, and Wisconsin.

Fidler's visit to East Lansing took place this past weekend, and it's safe to say that Spartan fans were extremely excited upon his arrival. Not much news has been released about how his visit went, but there has been an interesting development in his recruitment since his visit.

Fidler was supposed to announce his commitment Monday morning, but about 45 minutes before the commitment he decided to push his announcement back. The reason for this has not been stated, but it could be a good sign for Michigan State. Wisconsin was thought to be the leader in his recruitment before he visited East Lansing, so Frankie cancelling his commitment could mean that Izzo and MSU is becoming more of an option for him than he originally thought.

There also is the chance that a different school, or even his former school Omaha, is an option now, so we really don't know where he stands right now. One things for certain though, Michigan State is still in the running and is pushing hard in his recruitment.
