The biggest event of the offseason for Michigan State basketball is currently underway. This weekend, star transfer Frankie Fidler is making an official visit to East Lansing to check out the Spartans, who are one of the four teams in his top four.

Frankie is one of the top transfers in the portal this offseason. After a season averaging 20.1 points and 6.3 rebounds per game, it’s easy to see why.

Tom Izzo has been active in the portal so far this offseason, but he’s also been very selective. MSU’s only been publically linked to four transfers so far, so that means that Izzo must be very excited about each transfer he’s chosen to target.

Frankie arrived to campus late Thursday night for his official visit that began on Friday. Frankie shared this post on X upon his arrival.

To say Spartan fans are excited would be an understatement. Hundreds of fans immediately responded to this post, welcoming him to East Lansing. Even many of the current players on the team took the time to do that as well. Here are some of the best posts shared in response to Franie upon his arrival.

And the funniest reply of all goes to a fan who told Frankie to go to Conrad’s, a popular restaurant for students after a late night out. Shockingly enough, Frankie had already been there.

Fidler will be announcing his commitment Monday morning and will be deciding between Michigan State, Wisconsin, Nebraska, and Creighton. No expert predictions have been made yet, but that could change quickly as his visit this weekend progresses.
