Transfer target Frankie Fidler will commit after Michigan State basketball visit
Tom Izzo has been extremely active in the transfer portal this offseason, at least by his standards. So far Michigan State basketball has been publicly linked with three transfers in the portal, but the Spartans haven’t earned a commitment from anyone yet.
To be fair, the three transfers MSU has been involved with haven’t announced a commitment yet, but it’s hard to stay patient when teams like Illinois already have multiple transfers.
We won’t have to wait much longer as one of MSU’s targets will be committing next week.

Omaha forward Frankie Fidler has announced that he will be committing early Monday morning, April 15. The Spartans already found out they are in his top four last week, but that is all we have heard about his recruitment so far. Fidler will be visiting Michigan State this weekend, which is extremely significant.
Fidler has already visited his other finalists (Nebraska, Creighton and Wisconsin), but the Spartans being the last school to host Frankie could be good news. With Frankie committing Monday morning, his visit to MSU will be fresh on his mind. Sometimes recruits will also visit their top school last, that way they can commit on the spot to the staff if the visit goes according to plan.
There’s no doubt that that is a possibility, but until Fidler's visit to East Lansing begins, we won’t know too much. But Tom Izzo has a great chance to make a splash in the portal, something he hasn’t done in a few years. Fidler would be a huge addition to the program, and one that would make me way more excited for next season.
We likely will find out a lot of information soon, so stay tuned and cross your fingers that Izzo can work some of his magic.
