Talented 4-star ATH schedules visit to Michigan State football
All eyes in the Michigan State football program look to the end of July when the next big recruiting event will take place. June official visits are now complete, so next on the schedule is the annual Spartan Dawg Con event.
The Spartans already have one visitor scheduled, and now they are adding a very talented athlete in the 2026 class to the list.
David Davis is a four-star ATH from Pittsburgh, Penn. According to 247Sports composite rankings, he is the No. 230 player in the country. Davis is also the No. 19 ATH in the 2026 class as well as the No. 7 player from the state of Pennsylvania.
Davis’ recruitment is still extremely early and he only holds 10 scholarship offers so far. This includes Cincinnati, Kentucky, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Tennessee as well as Michigan State. With as highly ranked as Davis is, it’s only a matter of time until more teams start pursuing him, so MSU getting heavily involved this early on should pay dividends down the road.
As mentioned, Davis will be taking his visit to East Lansing at the end of July. One important note about this visit is that it is an unofficial visit. This means that Davis will have to pay his own way to get to campus, which shows just how interested he is in the program.
There haven’t been any predictions made in Davis’ recruitment yet, but that isn’t a surprise at this point. But Michigan State has to love where they stand considering he’s choosing to visit here instead of any of the other schools pursuing him.
Hopefully Jonathan Smith will be able to put some work in with Davis at the end of the month. He likely won’t commit anytime soon, but Michigan State has a chance to put themselves at the top of his list which would be a huge development at this point.
