Recapping all 13 Michigan State basketball players’ performances at Moneyball
9. Jeremy Fears Jr.
Now we have someone who wasn’t even supposed to play at Moneyball this summer in Jeremy Fears Jr.
Fears was left off of each Moneyball roster likely as a precaution as he recovers from his tragic injury last December. But that didn’t stop him from playing some this summer.
Fears player in four games this summer and averaged an impressive 25.3 points per game. This includes his best performance which saw him score 40 points and hit seven 3-pointers.
Obviously the best thing from all of this is that Fears is healthy enough to play in a full contact game. That tells me he’s 100 percent healthy and will be ready to go for the regular season.
But not only is he healthy, he’s playing extremely well. Last December we had no clue if we’d ever see him play basketball again, but now he’s on a trajectory to still become the star we always thought he would be. And I think that will begin this year as the starting point guard.
