If you're a Michigan State football fan, you have to love the work Jonathan Smith has done in a short period of time. He took over back in November and immediately improved the 2024 recruiting class from the 90-range nationally to the top 35.

Not only that, but he has landed a couple dozen transfers via the portal and a good chunk of them will have immediate impacts in 2024. He landed a number of projected starters.

And he's already getting to work on the 2025 class with guys like Leo Hannan, Braylon Collier, Jace Clarizio, Emmett Bock, Charles White, and Di'Mari Malone committed. While the class isn't exactly star-studded right now, there's still time for it to improve and I think that's going to happen soon, especially if some recent predictions on On3 come to fruition.

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) just projected the Spartans to land three-star tight end Jayden Savoury and three-star interior offensive lineman Drew Nichols.

Savoury is one of the top remaining targets for the Spartans and the Michigan-native tight end is ranked No. 850 in the nation and he's the 50th-best at the position, per On3. He would be a great second tight end in the class along with Bock and both will benefit from the elite coaching of Brian Wozniak.

Nichols is a three-star and he's ranked the No. 94 interior offensive lineman in the nation. He would be the first offensive line commit for the Spartans in 2025.

Michigan State's 2025 recruiting class could grow to 7-8 commits in the near future after yet another solid official visit weekend by Smith and Co.
