A class that had zero commitments just a few short months ago is now up to 15 as Michigan State football coach Jonathan Smith continues to land solid recruits.

Before official visit season began, the Spartans had just five commitments, but over the past month and a half, they have landed 10 verbal pledges and the latest came from three-star athlete Bryson Williams from Orchard Lake (Mich.) St. Mary's.

Williams chose Michigan State over the likes of Kansas, Pitt, and Harvard.

This is one of the coolest commitment videos I can remember with his mom, dad, and younger sibling congratulating him on his decision. It also showed highlights from his youth football days leading up to his high school tape. This is what commitment videos should look like.

Williams becomes the 2025 class' 15th commitment and third from Orchard Lake St. Mary's, joining three-star linebacker Charles White and three-star tight end Jayden Savoury.

Also, according to Corey Robinson of 247Sports, Michigan State is recruiting him to play a "Deebo Samuel role".

The three-star from Orchard Lake, Mich., stands 6-foot-2 and weighs about 200 pounds so he has a strong frame to be that Deebo-type player. He can line up in the backfield, at receiver, or on special teams and make plays all over the field. Williams will provide an extra boost to the offense that has been missing for a couple of years.

While Michigan State has yet to land a four-star in the 2025 class, the quality of players that Smith has secured has been impressive. Ratings-wise, there isn't a single player rated below an 86 on 247Sports -- four-stars are usually at around 89. So the consistency in recruiting is there.

Smith is building a strong base of players with this class and that raises the floor of the program.
