Saturday night's Michigan State vs. Ohio State game will have the attention of Big Ten football fans as many are hoping that the Spartans can pull off the unthinkable upset of the Buckeyes.

It's not going to be an easy task, however, as Ohio State is one of the best teams in the country, ranked No. 3 through four weeks. There's belief that the Buckeyes are the best team in the nation despite being ranked third and we're going to see that firsthand on Saturday.

But as per my weekly tradition, it's time to do an EA Sports College Football 25 simulation for the game.

The past few simulations I've run have been fairly close as it predicted a tight, low-scoring win over FAU in Week 1, a close game (but a loss) against Maryland, a blowout over an FCS team (there's no Prairie View A&M in the game) in Week 3, and a close loss to Boston College in Week 4.

Let's see if it gives us some hope for this Ohio State matchup.

CFB 25 simulation results for Michigan State vs. Ohio State

Unfortunately, the game has Michigan State losing 28-7 to Ohio State but hey, that's a cover so for the Spartan bettors out there, that's a win.

The Spartans and Buckeyes will be tied 7-7 at halftime, according to CFB 25, but Ohio State will score 21 unanswered in the second half to run away with a comfortable win in East Lansing.

Here are the key stats:

Player

Stats

Aidan Chiles

13-18, 171 yards; 17 yards rushing, TD

Nate Carter

12 rushes, 32 yards

Montorie Foster Jr.

4 catches, 55 yards

Jack Velling

3 catches, 47 yards

Malik Spencer

5 tackles, 1 TFL

Armorion Smith

5 tackles

Khris Bogle

4 tackles

There weren't many exciting stats to digest and the total offense numbers were just 250 yards for Ohio State and 225 for Michigan State. It was an ugly, low-scoring game and that's probably because I set the weather to rainy to make it more realistic for Saturday night's forecast.

Not the best result, but Michigan State covers.
