The hits, they just keep on coming. After missing out on five-star small forward Jalen Haralson on Wednesday night and then being left off Trey McKenney's top three list on Thursday, Michigan State basketball received some more unfortunate news on Friday.

According to a report from Jamie Shaw, five-star small forward target Dwayne Aristode is focusing on two schools right now, per his sources.

The intel is behind a paywall, so you can subscribe to read what Shaw had to say, but the responses from Michigan State fans on Twitter tell you all you need to know.

Michigan State fans who paid to read the article posted that it's not good news for Izzo and Co. and the usual culprit (Duke) is back being a thorn in the Spartans' side again. There's still time before Aristode makes his decision final but it's not looking good.

That means it's time for Izzo to really put in the work and make sure Aristode reconsiders his position atop the Spartans' big board. He is the No. 1 target for Michigan State and he would be the gem of the class and a Day 1 contributor if he picked the Spartans. Michigan State needs a wing like Aristode who can do a little of everything and is super athletic which makes his recruitment all the more important.

With McKenney and Haralson off the board, the options for the 2025 class are dwindling and Izzo needs to make a move. Aristode is the most important target left on the board and he seems to be trending elsewhere.

In order to avoid a complete disaster, Izzo needs to turn up the heat and get the job done.

Missing on Haralson, McKenney, Sisley, and Aristode in the span of a couple of weeks would be nothing less than a nightmare. Seal the deal, Tom.
