The first major commitment announcement in the 2025 class for Michigan State is almost here as five-star forward Jalen Haralson has shared that he will announce his commitment on Wednesday.

Along with this announcement Haralson shared that he will be making his decision between Michigan State, Indiana, and Notre Dame.

It is no surprise seeing these three schools make Haralson's final list as all three have been recruiting him hard for a very long time. They also are the only three programs that have hosted him on a visit recently as Haralson cancelled the rest of his visits after visiting MSU two weekends ago. Haralson is also from Indiana as well, so proximity to home seems to be a factor as well.

The question now on everyone's mind is if Tom Izzo and Michigan State stand a chance on Wednesday. Unfortunately there isn't a for sure answer that I can give at this time. No official predictions have been logged for Haralson yet so we can't rely on the experts this time. But there are some rumors floating around about who could be the team to beat.

Unfortunately it sounds like Indiana and Notre Dame are the teams to beat, with the Irish potentially holding the top spot. That is the rumor I have heard the most so far, but I also have seen that all three of these teams have a reasonable chance still to win. So the only thing that we actually know at this time is that nobody knows where Haralson is going to commit.

One thing is for certain, however, and that is Izzo did everything he could to win this recruitment. Haralson was one of his top targets the entire cycle and he made sure that the Spartans were near the top of Haralson's list the entire way. So if Michigan State gets bad news on Wednesday it won't be for a lack of effort.

Here's to hoping that Michigan State will get good news on Wednesday and start its 2025 recruiting class off with a bang.
