3 bold predictions for Michigan State football vs. Florida Atlantic
2. Five different Spartans score a touchdown
One thing I expect to see on Friday night is a lot of points scored by Michigan State’s offense. I think they’ll be more high-powered than people expect, and going up against a lesser team like Florida Atlantic won’t hurt either.
So there’s a very high chance that MSU scores upwards of 40 points this game, and instead of one Spartan doing all the scoring I think it’s going to be very spread out.
Five different Spartans will score a touchdown in this game, and here is who I think they’ll be.
Both running backs Nate Carter and Kay’Ron Lynch-Adams will find the end zone on the ground (with Carter scoring the first touchdown of the season). Then veteran wide receiver Montorie Foster Jr. will catch a touchdown from Aidan Chiles with rising true freshman star receiver Nick Marsh hauling in a deep touchdown pass of his own. Lastly, Chiles’ buddy from Oregon State Jack Velling will score on a short touchdown pass in the red zone as well.
There’s even the chance Chiles might run one in himself, so this number could grow to six. But these five players mentioned will be the leaders of this Michigan State offense and the go to options for Chiles, so it would be the perfect start to the season if they all find the end zone.
