Best TD prop bets for Michigan State football vs. FAU
Michigan State football fans have just three more sleeps standing between them and the start of the 2024 season. While many other fanbases have to wait until Saturday to watch their team kick off the new campaign, Michigan State fans get a Friday night battle against FAU to take in.
And the excitement couldn't be more palpable.
In recent years, betting has taken center stage in the sports world and that includes the college football game, too. Fans have been getting into the betting side of things in recent years and one of the favorite prop bets each season is the weekly touchdown scorers.
While we don't necessarily know who is going to get the most touches on offense this season, DraftKings released its odds for the Week 1 touchdown scorers for Michigan State against FAU, per Justin Thind of 247Sports.
The odds here are pretty fair. Nate Carter should absolutely have the best odds to score a touchdown and he does. He also has the best odds to score the first touchdown and two-plus touchdowns.
While I love the Carter bet to score a touchdown, here are some of my favorite value options:
Nate Carter 2+ TDs: +320
Jack Velling anytime TD scorer: +170
Nick Marsh anytime TD scorer: +295
Nate Carter first TD scorer: +400
It just feels like the value on all of those is tremendous. Carter should get plenty of touches and we saw him living in the end zone at the start of the 2023 season. He should be even better with a more effective offensive line in front of him. And I could see Jonathan Smith establishing the run early, getting Carter into the end zone first.
As for the Velling and Marsh touchdowns, I believe those will be Aidan Chiles' favorite targets this season, but don't sleep on a Montorie Foster or Jaron Glover score as well. Foster at +200 is great value for the lead returning receiver from 2023.
What's your favorite bet of the bunch?
