Michigan State just had its first official visit weekend of the summer at the end of May, and now Pat Fitzgerald and Co. are hosting their second batch of visitors over the weekend of June 5.
Although there aren’t as many four-stars on campus this weekend as there were seven days ago, there are still some important prospects making their way to East Lansing.
The first weekend yielded two commitments from Matthew Brady and Henry Sakalas who both had visits to other Big Ten programs scheduled but they canceled them in order to commit to the Spartans. That’s a good sign for Fitzgerald’s recruiting, although fans are hoping that he can land some higher-ranked prospects.
Right now, Fitzgerald is using the strategy that Mark Dantonio used by targeting under-the-radar recruits who he developed into NFL prospects, but it’s almost impossible to replicate that — especially in the NIL era when schools like Texas Tech, Indiana, and even UCLA are recruiting at an elite level. It’s going to be impossible to keep up with only lower-ranked recruits.
There has to be a good mix.
There’s nothing wrong with landing these under-the-radar recruits who are much better than their rankings and who play with a chip on their shoulders, but you can’t only land those types of prospects because they’re not all going to pan out. That’s statistically improbable.
Enough about that, let’s get into the visitors who will be on campus this weekend, per 247Sports.

Which Spartan commits will be on campus this weekend? There are actually going to be quite a few.
- Ohimai Ozolua, 4-star DL
- Jack Carlson, 3-star OL
- Grant Adloff, 3-star OL
- Eli Stumpf, 3-star QB
- Jack Schuler, 3-star EDGE
As you can see, this is the most saturated weekend in terms of committed recruits visiting. It’s good to have these guys on campus to build chemistry and convince other uncommitted recruits to choose the green and white.
Speaking of uncommitted visitors…

There are going to be several targets for the Spartan commits to work on.

- Lawrence Kanneh, 3-star EDGE
- Ryan Pankey, 3-star TE
- Cordaro Parham, 3-star CB
- Dallas Ward, NR DL
- Zach Forbish, NR WR
There’s also one reported visitor who’s committed to another program, but after Michigan State landed two linebackers earlier this week, and a four-star legacy target surprising fans with a visit, I don’t truly believe there’s any room for another linebacker.
I’m not sure if the visit is still happening, but there’s been no official word either way.

It’s a pretty big weekend again, but this is more so for the Spartan commits. There are a few targets who I believe could be the next to commit to Michigan State, but that’s for another article.
Not as star-studded as last weekend, but on par with how Fitzgerald has been recruiting.
