The big recruiting weekend for Michigan State football just got bigger.

The Spartans are hosting several big-time recruits for both the football and basketball programs, but one of the visitors for Jonathan Smith and Co. may just have the most star-power.

We may be looking a little too far ahead, but the Spartans will be hosting one of the top recruits in the 2028 class, a five-star receiver from Cincinnati, Ohio.

That's right, five-star wideout Lorenzo McMullen Jr. will be on campus for the Boston College game.

McMullen Jr. is definitely the highest-rated football recruit that will be on campus over the weekend, and he may be a name to keep an eye on as the 2028 class draws nearer.

If anyone can convince a five-star to come to East Lansing to play football, it would have to be Courtney Hawkins. The receivers coach has been one of the best recruiters on the staff, and he's developed some NFL talent during his time at Michigan State. He's sent guys like Jayden Reed, Jalen Nailor, and Keon Coleman (he does give Hawkins credit still) to the league.

Not to mention, he has one of the best receiver rooms in the country, led by sophomore sensation Nick Marsh and senior transfer Omari Kelly who broke out in the season opener.

If there was ever a week to showcase a pass-heavy offense, it would be against Boston College with McMullen in attendance.

The five-star receiver from Ohio is ranked the No. 12 player in the country and he's the fourth-best wideout in the 2028 class, according to the 247Sports Composite.
