Pat Fitzgerald and Winston DeLattiboudere III landed their first four-star together just last week as Ohimai Ozolua committed to Michigan State over Penn State, Ohio State, and Michigan, and it doesn’t look like they’re done just yet.
Ozolua was a great addition to the Spartans’ 2027 recruiting class which is hovering around the 35th ranking nationally. The Spartans have six commits and only one four star, so that checks out.
DeLattiboudere isn’t ready to settle for just one four-star defensive line commit, however.
The first-year defensive line coach and former Minnesota starter under Joe Rossi just paid a visit to one of the top prospects on his board in the 2027 class.
Thanks for coming over @Coach_DeBo46 appreciate you taking the time to see me!!! pic.twitter.com/ff7XnjYBxo

Before we get into who Marvin Nguetsop is, we have to acknowledge just how crazy this picture is. It may look like just a normal recruiting photo, but this is proof that Nguetsop is a mountain of a prospect. DeLattiboudere was listed at 6-foot-3 and 260 pounds during his Minnesota playing days and while he’s obviously not in playing shape, he still looks tiny compared to Nguetsop.
Nguetsop looks to be legitimately 5-7 inches taller than 6-foot-3 “Coach DeBo” and they weigh about the same, assuming DeLattiboudere didn’t put on 50 pounds after his playing days were over.
I don’t know about you, but this picture with DeLattiboudere next to Nguetsop sold me. I would love to add a defensive lineman who towers over everyone dominate the trenches. It’s been years since Michigan State had a guy like that — Malik McDowell was pretty physically imposing.
Nguetsop is ranked the No. 222 overall recruit, No. 25 defensive lineman, and No. 2 Connecticut-based prospect, according to 247Sports.
Winston DeLattiboudere III is building momentum
Seeing DeLattiboudere recruit is exciting because it’s clear that he’s not willing to settle for just diamonds in the rough — he wants some of these coveted four-star recruits.
After landing a guy that every contender in the Big Ten wanted less than a week ago, DeLattiboudere is already working on a complementary piece in Nguetsop.
The Connecticut-based defensive lineman is being courted by several major programs like Tennessee, Michigan, and Ole Miss and he’s also taking an official visit to Kentucky this summer. All of those teams mentioned are getting official visits with Michigan State’s coming on May 29.
If the Spartans can close on Nguetsop, that would give them one heck of a start to the defensive line in the 2027 class. It isn’t happening overnight, but Michigan State’s defensive line is looking up.
