With National Signing Day here for Michigan State and Pat Fitzgerald, everyone had been waiting what was going to happen with 4-star wide receiver Samson Gash. The speedster had been committed to MSU since June, but eyebrows were raised when he didn't make things official during the Early Signing Period in December.

4-star WR Samson Gash has officially signed with Michigan State
When Matt Campbell and Penn State put an offer on the table, it seemed like maybe some bad news was on the way, especially since Gash's dad played for the Nittany Lions. Gash even took an official viait to PSU last month, which sure had people talking.
However, despite Penn State and other programs showing strong interest, the 6-0, 180-pounder knew in his heart that he wanted to make the move to East Lansing, which he'll be doing later this year after putting the pen to paper with the Spartans on Wednesday.
Gash immediately becomes one of the highest signees for Michigan State's 2026 class, joining offensive tackle Collin Campbell with a 90 grade per 247Sports. Per the 247Sports Composite, Gash is ranked four stars and the No. 46 wide receiver in the country. He's also the No. 283 prospect nationally.
Throughout his recruitment, the newest Spartan picked up offers from Michigan State, Penn State, Alabama, West Virginia and many others. When Fitzgerald was hired, he made it a priority to make sure he'd be able to hang on to Gash and the veteran coach has been able to do just that. This is no question major news for Michigan State and it's something fans will be celebrating for quite some time.
