With the commitment of Denham Wojcik in the transfer portal, Michigan State basketball fans could rest easy knowing that the roster was set heading into the 2025-26 season.

Unfortunately, the Spartans suffered a major setback with Kaleb Glenn's injury.

Losing a projected heavily-utilized role player and potential sixth man on the wing was a huge blow, especially because he already had a rapport with Jeremy Fears Jr. and seemed excited to contribute.

Still, it felt like the roster was set, and it would be up to the younger guys like Kur Teng, Cam Ward, or Jordan Scott to carry the load with Glenn out. And that still may very well be the case, but a new rumor surfaced regarding the Spartans reaching out to an international prospect.

According to the report, Michigan State has reached out to forward Ivan Bogdanovic, a 6-foot-8 prospect who averaged 18.1 points and 5.6 rebounds for Croatia's U20 team last summer.

How real is this interest? It's hard to say, but I wouldn't be surprised if Tom Izzo was just doing his due diligence, reaching out to gauge interest and probably see how he'd fit with the current roster. Personally, I don't see the Spartans doing much more than just reaching out because Izzo has always been big on "let's see what my guys can do" before relying on the portal or international prospects.

It would be nice to add a talented international forward to replace that production that Glenn would have provided, but after doing some research, it feels like Gonzaga might be the favorite here.

Wisconsin was also involved a little earlier on, but it sounds like four schools are standing out.

I'd love for Michigan State to land him, but I just don't see Izzo pursuing this further.
