Tom Izzo has been taking his time with the 2026 recruiting class.
The Hall of Fame Michigan State basketball coach hasn't landed a single commitment in 2026 yet, but he's been sending out some big offers lately and he's expanding his board. He just expanded it even more this week, reportedly showing interest in one of the top combo guards in the class.
According to a VIP report from Travis Branham of 247Sports, Singleton has been linked to Michigan State. He doesn't officially hold an offer from the Spartans yet (at least publicly), but this report states that Singleton has some interest in Nebraska, Ohio State, DePaul, Stanford, and Michigan State.

Singleton will be a name worth keeping an eye on because if Izzo is reaching out at this point in the process, that likely means he wants you in his class. He could also just be gauging Singleton's interest since it's fairly late in the process, but he's getting looks from a couple of Big Ten programs already.
The Columbus, Ohio, native is seemingly an Ohio State lean if we're just going off location, but he could also opt to forge his own path and play for a more established head coach up north.
Singleton is a 6-foot-4, 175-pound combo guard who has an aggressiveness to his game that Izzo has to love. He's a willing defender who has solid size for either guard spot and he likes to get out and run which fits right into Izzo's system.
I'm not sure just how strong the interest is here, but I like what I see from Singleton's game, and I think he could fit right in at Michigan State as a solid 3-4 year player who really hits his stride as a sophomore or junior.
We'll see if Izzo sees him as worthy of an offer here in the near future.
