Another Michigan State basketball offer went out this weekend.

Tom Izzo has been checking in on some new 2026 targets with plenty of summer basketball going on, and he's identified a new small forward option.

Earlier this week, Michigan State extended an offer to Bryson Howard, the son of former NBA star Josh Howard who spent over a decade in the league.

Howard is one of the top prospects in the 2026 class, ranked as the No. 12 small forward, top player in Texas, and No. 25 overall, according to the 247Sports Composite. He's a borderline five-star with strong NBA bloodlines and he could come in and provide Michigan State with a more-than-capable wing who could score in bunches.

How good is Howard? Well, he already holds offers from the likes of Texas, Duke, Baylor, Houston, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Memphis, Michigan, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas A&M, UConn, and Virginia, among others.

The Spartans are expanding their 2026 board, and that's good news because it felt like the list of targets was on the slimmer end with no real standouts.

Howard has to be close to the top of the list of targets now because if Izzo is identifying you this late in the process, that likely means he's going to do a full-court press. He has plenty of competition as Duke, Baylor, and Kentucky were his most recent offers, and he has already visited Houston and is planning an official with Texas this fall.

Michigan State fans need to keep an eye on Howard as the son of Josh Howard is going to be highly sought-after over the next few months before he decides.
