Tom Izzo and Michigan State basketball continue to expand their 2026 recruiting board.
Earlier on Tuesday, I spoke about the Spartans being connected to four-star combo guard Jason Singleton without much more than just an inkling of interest between MSU and the talented recruit, but an official offer was extended over the weekend to one of the best guards in the 2026 class.
After watching him at Peach Jam this week, Michigan State offered four-star shooting guard Junior County from Mount Pleasant, Utah.

Izzo was in attendance at Peach Jam, scouting several top prospects, and he got to see County play well, averaging 13.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.4 assists. This caught Izzo's attention as he and several elite head coaches were in attendance to witness him dominating against other top prospects.
While fans are begging Izzo to recruit an elite center who can put in some work on both ends of the floor, they'll settle for a top-30 shooting guard from Utah.
County is ranked the No. 27 overall prospect on 247Sports as well as the second-best shooting guard and No. 1 prospect from the state of Utah. He's being pursued heavily by Purdue, which could be the biggest threat here. Could this be the latest Izzo win over Matt Painter on the recruiting trail?
We'll find out soon enough.
County has a solid 6-foot-4, 180-pound frame and he runs the floor well and has a strong jumper that would make Michigan State fans drool after watching the clunk-fest in 2024-25.
You have to love seeing Izzo expand his recruiting board because that 2026 class needs to get started immediately.
