3. This team is fun

The past 3-4 years have taken a toll on Michigan State basketball fans. It's felt like the program was heading in the wrong direction as Tom Izzo's teams were barely sneaking into the NCAA Tournament every year since Cassius Winston left.

But this year's team feels different.

Michigan State is now 10-2 after the 17-point win over FAU and it's the Spartans' best start since 2021-22 when they began 14-2 but ultimately struggled during Big Ten play and finished in seventh place in the conference. This team feels much different.

Ever since that disappointing loss to Memphis, the Spartans have been on a tear, winning five straight games over North Carolina, Minnesota, Nebraska, Oakland, and now FAU and all but one have been by double figures and the Spartans are scoring darn near at will.

This team is fun to watch, they play really well together and it just feels like this is the type of team that could do big things this season.
