2. Gabe Brown got some confidence back

The game began with a Gabe Brown 3-pointer and while it would have been fitting if it finished with one, it was still good to see him get some confidence back against an elite opponent.

Brown finished the game with 13 points on 4-for-9 shooting and 3-for-5 from deep, making this just the second time he’s scored more than 10 points since Jan. 12.

And if you’ve been paying attention here, Michigan State was 11-2 when Gabe scores more than 10 points this season heading into the game. The Spartans are now 12-2.

Julius Marble talked this week about Gabe coming to teammates to talk about his lack of confidence and how they tried to build him up during practice and it seemed to work. He had one of his best games in Big Ten play and looked like the old Gabe again.

If Michigan State gets a confident Gabe Brown moving forward, watch out.
