2. Michigan State got the last visit

This may not seem all that important, but it certainly is. Not only did Michigan State get the final official visit, but the Spartans also hosted him earlier in the season and he’s been on campus multiple times. Simply put, he has forged a strong relationship with Mel Tucker and Chris Kapilovic that would be hard for some programs to replicate.

While I’m sure he’s comfortable with both the Kentucky and Texas A&M coaching staffs, you just get the feeling that he’s at home with Michigan State’s. Tucker has done a good job here.

If he didn’t truly love Michigan State, he wouldn’t have taken a trip in the spring after committing to Kentucky and then twice this fall, including the last official visit before signing day. It just feels like everything has fallen into place for him to pick the Spartans.

Plus, getting that last official is a chance for the coaching staff to lay out the red carpet and make that final pitch. Talk NIL deals, playing time, and fit with the program along with touring the facilities and really bonding with current players.

It seems like Tucker knocked this visit out of the park.
