Five-star offensive tackle Kiyaunta Goodwin was on campus this past weekend and it feels like Michigan State football is trending here.

Folks, Tuck is absolutely comin’. The second-year Michigan State football coach is on the verge of signing his first top-20 class in East Lansing and the program’s first since 2016. If all goes as planned on Wednesday, he could very well end up with a top-15 group.

The Spartans are in on a number of top names like Armani Winfield, Malcolm Jones, and Caleb Coley. They were also in the running for Auburn running back Damari Alston and Washington receiver Germie Bernard before they seemingly fell out of the race in those recruitments but there’s one name that tops them all: Kiyaunta Goodwin.

The five-star offensive tackle is currently committed to Kentucky but Mel Tucker is making a strong push for him after a visit this past weekend.

Here’s why I believe Goodwin will flip to Michigan State on signing day.

3. Kentucky just offered another tackle

OK, before I claim that this is strictly a Michigan State and Kentucky two-man race to sign Kiyaunta Goodwin, I do need to admit that Texas A&M is also strongly in the running. The Spartans look like the top contender with Texas A&M right behind but there are three legit teams fighting for the five-star’s commitment.

But one of the more promising developments this week has been Kentucky offering another offensive tackle right before signing day.

Jackson Brown is a three-star Cal commit from California and it looks like Kentucky may be close to flipping him after this offer which has to mean something. Why else offer an offensive tackle right before the early signing period?

I’m not saying this means Kiyaunta isn’t signing with Kentucky, but I’m also not not saying that.
