2. Spartans shoot over 50 percent from deep

Michigan State’s depth was on full display on Wednesday night as three players scored 15 points and a few others chipped in with some big buckets. That depth also showed off some serious shooting touch from 3-point range.

Gabe Brown continues to be a sharpshooter from distance, making 39 percent of his attempts from deep. Malik Hall is shooting 60 percent from deep, Tyson Walker is making an astounding 75 percent of his threes, and Jaden Akins is shooting 40 percent from distance. And this is all while we’ve yet to see Max Christie find his stroke as well as Joey Hauser.

As a team, Michigan State is shooting 38 percent from 3-point range and the Spartans are coming off one of their best showings of the year, making 10-of-21 at Minnesota.

On Saturday, they’ll make over 50 percent of their tries from deep as Brown, Hauser, Christie, Akins, Hall, and Walker all get into the action and we might even see a three or two from Marcus Bingham Jr.

When Michigan State shoots well from deep, it’s nearly impossible to beat.
