Louisville is a tough opponent and always has been. The Spartans lost the last time these two faces off in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge in Louisville in one of the better games of that season but I think Michigan State is the superior team here.

The Cardinals have length and average 42 rebounds per game so that might be an issue for Michigan State, but I think this team is tough enough to hit the glass hard.

Max Christie has a big game and the Spartans hold off Louisville at home.

Final Score: Louisville 63, Michigan State 69 (6-2)

Toledo is the highest-scoring team the Spartans will face all month, but the Rockets haven’t faced anyone with a pulse yet. We saw what happened last time Michigan State faced a high-scoring attack that hadn’t faced a competent defense yet (Loyola Chicago). I expect more of the same here.

Michigan State scores 80-plus here and wins comfortably to improve to 7-2 on the season. Jaden Akins has another big game as he continues to ascend to Michigan State stardom.

Final Score: Toledo 56, Michigan State 81 (7-2)
