1. Michigan State goes 6-0

The Spartans kick off the month of December with their toughest game against Louisville in East Lansing. While the Cardinals aren’t ranked and have a loss to Furman on the season, they are still one of the best teams from the ACC. They have some length which could cause some problems on the glass and in the paint.

I think the Spartans beat Louisville and head into the next game against Toledo with some confidence. They’ll take care of the Rockets to improve to 2-0 on the month.

Michigan State then begins Big Ten play the following game, traveling to Minnesota to take on the Gophers. This will be an interesting one because Minnesota is a tough place to play and this is basically a brand new Gophers roster and coach. The Spartans win, but turnovers may cause some problems.

Penn State is next on the schedule at home and the Spartans are clearly the better team here and I think this one is a double-digit win.

Finally, Michigan State finishes non-conference play with Oakland at Little Caesars Arena and then High Point at home. The Spartans should win both of those handily.

Michigan State closes the month of December with a 6-0 record and an average win margin in double figures.
