1. We are starting to see who the scorers will be

Four Spartans scored in double figures on Thursday night, led by Max Christie who had 14 points. Joey Hauser had 13 points, Gabe Brown had 11, and Marcus Bingham Jr. had 10.

Do you notice anything? Those were four of five starters.

We are starting to see who the team’s scorers will be this season and it’s those four. Christie may very well lead the team in scoring this year, but I also wouldn’t be shocked to see Gabe break out and be the go-to offensive threat for the Spartans. Hauser’s offense has been a breath of fresh air and Bingham Jr.’s, too, was a nice surprise.

If the Spartans can get double figures from those guys on most nights, that takes pressure off guys like Tyson Walker and AJ Hoggard and even Malik Hall, Mady Sissoko, Julius Marble, and Jaden Akins.

Michigan State had some poor offensive execution but the Spartans are working out the kinks and have found some solid scoring threats.
