2. Kenneth Walker III will out-rush Haskins/Corum duo

I’ll be quite honest here: Michigan has the best running back duo in college football.

It’s OK to admit that as Michigan State fans. The Wolverines have Blake Corum and Hassan Haskins who would both be good enough to start on most teams around the country. Those two are an elite combo, and that much has been clear this year.

But Michigan State has an elite running back of its own. Kenneth Walker III is the Spartans’ workhorse back and he’s arguably been the best running back in college football this season.

We’ve heard all about Michigan’s rushing attack, and that’s fair because it’s the strength of the Wolverines’ offense, but Walker III is going to take center stage on Saturday.

Jay Johnson will dial up some misdirections, counters, and fewer runs between the tackles to counter that strong defensive line of Michigan. Walker III has the speed to beat defenders on the edge and I think he’ll break a big run or two to reach 100-plus yards on the day.

Walker III is going to out-rush the duo of Haskins and Corum and really have his “Heisman moment”.
