Michigan State has big hitters at the receiver position in Jalen Nailor and Jayden Reed, and while Tre Mosley doesn’t haul in the long bombs like they do, he’s a sure-handed receiver who makes great catches and keeps drives alive.

Mosley, who’s in his third year with the Spartans, is separating himself as the No. 3 receiver and proves week in and week out that he’s a reliable possession receiver. When Nailor and Reed aren’t open, Thorne can make the read and find Mosley open, and more often than not, he is making a play for a first down. He hasn’t seen the end zone yet, but there’s more than enough time for Thorne to find him there.

Mosley has come up with 20 catches for 309 yards so far this season, his best game coming at home against Nebraska, where he hauled in six passes for 70 yards. He caught a screen pass against Miami and took it 51 yards to set MSU up in Hurricanes’ territory.

The Spartans will need Mosley to continue being the dependable third receiver if they want to continue their success this season, and if he takes another step forward, this team could see themselves in Indianapolis.
