It’s been a good week for Michigan State football as Mel Tucker and the Spartans landed four-star athlete Dillon Tatum over rival Michigan, giving them the No. 17 recruiting class in the country for 2022.

Like that recruiting class ranking, the Spartans are ranked No. 17 in the AP Top 25 for Week 5 and the only thing standing between them and a 5-0 mark is Western Kentucky. Before the year, this may have looked like a relatively easy win, but the Hilltoppers have one of the best passing attacks in college football and this game is going to be close.

Here’s to hoping the good luck from the week carries over into Saturday night’s Homecoming game against the 1-2 Hilltoppers.

Let’s get bold ahead of a potentially nerve-wracking Western Kentucky matchup.

3. Kenneth Walker III approaches 200 rushing yards

Coming off his worst game as a Spartan, Kenneth Walker III is going to take out some anger on that Western Kentucky defense.

Stephen Carr of Indiana rushed for over 100 yards against the Hilltoppers in a win last week and Walker III is going to have a field day, nearly doubling that output from the Hoosiers’ back. He’s going to rush for over 180 yards and a couple of touchdowns, really getting back into the Heisman conversation after an off-week against Nebraska — OK, he’s still in it, but this performance will really get him back as a favorite.

Walker III is going to make some incredible plays all night long as he wows the crowd with long runs, sharp cuts, and trucks. He’s going to get back to his Weeks 1-3 form.
