I’m very high on Ronald Williams, and Chester Kimbrough, heading into the season and I think we’re going to see him win a starting cornerback job and never look back. Kimbrough will probably play more of a nickel role and Angelo Grose is likely to be a starting safety.

So a combination of Williams, an Alabama transfer, and Kalon Gervin wouldn’t be too shabby for the Spartans, especially if they want to get the passing defense back on track.

Williams was once one of the best JUCO prospects in the country before transferring to Alabama before the 2020 season. He played sparingly and entered the portal, picking Mel Tucker and the Spartans and Harlon Barnett has to be elated with this addition.

The Alabama transfer learned from the best head coach in the country for a year on an elite defense and now he’s soaking in knowledge from Mel Tucker and Barnett.

I see a big season from Williams in the near future.
